Are you an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor looking for your next challenge?
At Biogenie, we're looking for an experienced, commercially astute Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our growing Commercial team. You'll play a key role in managing the commercial delivery of complex remediation and enabling works projects across the UK.
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys working closely with operational teams, has strong commercial and contractual expertise, and can confidently manage projects from tender through to final account.

You'll be responsible for the commercial management of projects, working closely with Project Managers and site teams to maximise commercial performance, administer contracts, manage subcontractors, and ensure projects are delivered profitably whilst maintaining strong client relationships.
We're looking for someone who can hit the ground running, with proven experience of working under both NEC and JCT forms of contract within a civil engineering, remediation or similar construction environment.
what you'll be doing
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you'll:
- Manage the commercial delivery of projects from tender through to final account
- Prepare cost plans, budgets, forecasts, and monthly commercial reports (including CVRs)
- Prepare and agree applications for payment, valuations, and final accounts
- Manage subcontract procurement, payments, variations, and final accounts
- Administer projects under NEC and JCT contracts
- Identify and manage commercial risks, opportunities, and compensation events
- Work closely with Project Managers and site teams to maximise commercial performance
- Build strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders
- Support successful project delivery through effective cost control and commercial management

what you should bring to the role
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor within civil engineering, remediation, or a similar construction environment
- Strong, practical experience of both NEC and JCT forms of contract
- Experience managing projects commercially from tender through to final account
- Strong knowledge of cost reporting, Cost Value Reconciliations (CVRs), valuations, subcontract management, and change control
- Excellent commercial judgment, negotiation, and communication skills
- Degree or HND in Quantity Surveying, or equivalent experience
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to sites throughout the UK as required
