Job Description
We are looking for an HPCP registered, enthusiastic, dedicated, and highly skilled Senior Band 7 Radiographer to join the team at Charing Cross Hospital.
Key Responsibilities
- Rotate across all modalities and support managers in ensuring that service users' needs are met through the delivery of high-quality care.
- Build on and extend clinical expertise and develop management and leadership skills.
- Ensure no patient treatments are lost due to inadequate maintenance; equipment must be safe and available whenever required.
- Exercise judgment to determine whether an item of equipment or consumable is hazardous and withdraw it from service.
- Work within a budget set for Renal Technical Services Department which includes parts, repairs, and sundry items.
- Authorize the Trust's e-procurement programme within delegated limits for Medical Equipment upkeep.
- Responsible for line management of staff including recruitment, discipline, and appraisal.
- Ensure the Trust’s HR policies are adhered to.
- Work within the Trust’s Medical Equipment Policy framework and implement any policy changes.
- Provide cover for colleagues as appropriate and participate in the on-call 24/7 technical cover out-of-hours rota.

Requirements
- Skilled in CT contrast studies and ideally MRI or IR.
- Recent extensive Band 6 experience.
- Good knowledge of all specialized modalities.
- Flexible and innovative in ways of working.
- Good communication skills are essential.
