Location: Sevenoaks Medical Centre, Sevenoaks
Hours: 40 Hours Per Week
Starting Salary: £36,000
In this role as Senior Radiographer you will participate in providing a high-quality Mammography service to KIMS Hospital patients. Reporting to the Lead Mammographer you will demonstrate a high degree of precision and speed, maintaining our extremely high levels of patient service at all times whilst providing all aspects of an exceptional breast Imaging service for screening and symptomatic service.
In addition to providing a Mammography service you will be expected to undertake general radiographic duties and undertake theatre and mobile radiography when competencies have been met.
This is a bank position working flexibly across a seven day service covering planned and unplanned absences.
Role Responsibilities Include
- Provide a fully comprehensive Mammography service for the screening programme and symptomatic service
- Complying with the requirements of the Health and Safety at Work Act, COSHH, IRMER (2017) & IRR17, MHRA and all other such relevant regulations and guidelines as appropriate to the delivery of independent sector imaging services
- To obtain and maintain a high level of competency to meet National Standards.
- Acting as an operator under the IRMER Radiation Regulations and assess the clinical justifications of referrals to ensure that the benefit to the patient outweighs the radiation risk
- Be a KIMS champion of patient experience. Through the team reporting into the role, be responsible for the delivery of excellent customer care, ensuring consistently high standards of patient experience
- Actively encouraging collaborative working relationships with the administration teams to ensure radiology reports are processed quickly and efficiently.

Person Specification
- Have a Diploma from the College of Radiographers or BSc (Hons) Radiography with a valid HCPC registration
- Excellent knowledge and experience working within a Mammography role
- Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Be absolutely patient focused with a drive to offering the highest standard of patient care at all times
- Be an expert in building relationships with an intuitive and persuasive style that enables you to easily engage and build relationships with consultants, patients and the wider radiological faculty.
