Lead Park Ranger at Grafham Water

Permanent / Full Time / from £35,000 per annum

This role does work shift patterns, with longer days during the spring/summer months and shorter days over the autumn and winter months.

At the Heart of Grafham Water’s Success

Grafham Water, a stunning 1,500-acre reservoir and visitor attraction, is looking for a practical, hands-on Lead Ranger to join our team. This rare opportunity blends team leadership with active fieldwork – from maintaining facilities and delivering high-quality visitor experiences to supporting our renowned fishery.

As Lead Park Ranger, you’ll work alongside your team in all weather – repairing, cleaning, patrolling, checking, and problem-solving – while inspiring your Rangers to deliver excellent customer service and maintaining the site to the highest standard.

If you enjoy rolling up your sleeves, solving practical challenges, and leading by example, this role is for you.

What The Role Entails

Team Leadership

  • Supervise and work alongside the Ranger team to keep Grafham Water safe, clean, operational, and well-presented.
  • Carry out and record health and safety checks, inspections, and maintenance tasks.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
