About the Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated, and reliable full-time Senior Receptionist to join our very busy, efficient, and friendly therapies department, based at Northwick Park Hospital/Central Middlesex Hospital.

Role Overview

The ideal candidate will have reception experience and good knowledge of IT. Knowledge and experience of Cerner EPR would be beneficial. The role will be a mixture of front desk, telephone, and administrative duties.

We welcome experienced NHS receptionists as well as candidates who are willing to learn.

Key Responsibilities

  • To use the Cerner electronic patient record system to implement the Department outpatient appointments and other various systems and procedures.
  • To deputise for the Administration Team Leader in her/his absence and work closely with them at all other times to ensure the smooth running of Reception and Administration within the Department. This includes the management and organization of the therapist’s Cerner diaries and classes.
  • To receive patients, visitors, and other callers to the Northwick Park Therapy Services Department Reception desk with a courteous, friendly, and efficient manner.
  • To answer telephone calls made to Reception.
  • To provide clerical support to Reception and the Occupational and Physiotherapy Department.
