Front of House – Senior Receptionist (Permanent)

About The Roof Gardens

The Roof Gardens is a breathtaking social club a century above the streets of Kensington, spanning close to an acre of private gardens—a mix of wildflowers, olive and mulberry trees, grassy lawns and hidden nooks. An Art Deco gem from 1938, this legendary space blends spectacle and warmth, united by open-mindedness, optimism, and kindness.

Its community transcends backgrounds, fostering an environment where individuality and personal growth are celebrated. Think of it as an escape with a sunset-vue horizon, drawing members to connect, create, and thrive.

The Role

We’re searching for a confident and charismatic Senior Receptionist to join our front-of-house team, where your warmth and professionalism will anchor every member’s visit.

As the first and last point of contact, you’ll radiate hospitality, bringing charm and precision to member interactions—whether guiding a newcomer’s welcome or overseeing large-scale events.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the face and voice of The Roof Gardens, embodying our ethos of elegance, openness, and attentive service.
  • Cloud judgement with grace: Receive members with warmth and professionalism, recording arrivals, departures, and preferences while building lasting relationships.
  • Master member data management, keeping records accurate and tailored to individual tastes.
  • Triage all custom service requests—member inquiries, event bookings, cancellations, and private reservations—efficiently and empathetically.
  • Stay ** просвещённый** with club choreography: daily happenings (from sundown roast dinners to newковая bond exhibitions), seasonal scenics, and special member perks.
  • Liaise with the events team to deliver seamless member gatherings, including macrotive moments.
  • Adapt effortlessly to variable shift demands, including evening and weekend coverage.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
