Senior Record-to-Report, Accounts Payable and Management Information Manager

As Senior Manager – Record to Report (R2R) & Accounts Payable (AP), you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of finance operations across a complex, international business, driving:

Reporting to the FSSC Director and as a member of the Finance Services Leadership Team, you will lead strategic initiatives that enhance:
- Financial performance
- Operational efficiency
- Business growth
This role is based in our Manchester office, with an expectation of being in the office three days per week.
Responsibilities
As Senior Manager – R2R & AP, you will be accountable for:
- Operational performance, strategic development, and continuous improvement of Record to Report (R2R) and Accounts Payable (AP) functions.
- Leading teams across:
- General Ledger
- Fixed Assets
- Intercompany
- Financial Close
- Accounts Payable
- Oversight of the end-to-end financial close and payables lifecycle, ensuring:
- Timely and accurate financial reporting
- Robust controls
- Compliant procurement processes
- Effective supplier management
You will:
- Establish and maintain scalable operating models
- Support multiple business units and geographies
- Foster a customer-focused culture based on accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement
Collaborative Leadership Working closely with:
- Senior Finance leaders
- Finance Business Partners
- Local finance teams
- Technology and Operations teams

You will drive:

What Will Help You Succeed in This Role?
Essential
-
Significant leadership experience within:
- Record to Report (R2R)
- Accounts Payable (AP)
- Shared Services finance operations
-
Professional accounting qualification, such as:
- ACA (Association of Chartered Accountants)
- ACCA (Association of International Accountants)
- CIMA (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants)
- CPA (Certified Public Accountant)
- or equivalent
-
Strong knowledge of:
- Financial close cycles
- Payables processes
- Financial control frameworks

Proven track record of driving:
- Automation
- Digital transformation
- Process optimisation initiatives

Strong expertise in:
- ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning)
- Finance systems improving finance operations performance
-
Excellent skills in:
- Communication
- Stakeholder management
- Influencing
Desirable
- Experience in Legal Services, Insurance, or Professional Services, or another regulated industry
- Degree qualification in:
- Accounting
- Finance
- Business
- or a related discipline
