Senior Manager – Record to Report (R2R) & Accounts Payable (AP)

This is an exciting opportunity to join DWF in a senior leadership role within our Finance Shared Services Centre.
As Senior Manager – R2R & AP, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of finance operations across a complex, international business. You’ll drive transformation, automation, service excellence, and strong financial governance.
Reporting to the FSSC Director and as a member of the Finance Services Leadership Team, you’ll lead strategic initiatives that enhance financial performance, improve operational efficiency, and support business growth.
This role is based in our Manchester office, with an expectation of office attendance three days per week.
Responsibilities
As Senior Manager – R2R & AP, you’ll be accountable for:
- The operational performance, strategic development, and continuous improvement of the Record to Report (R2R) and Accounts Payable functions within the Finance Shared Services Centre.
- Leading teams across:
- General Ledger
- Fixed Assets
- Intercompany
- Financial Close
- Accounts Payable
- Overseeing the end-to-end financial close and payables lifecycle—ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting, robust controls, compliant procurement processes, and effective supplier management.
- Establishing and maintaining scalable operating models, supporting multiple business units and geographies, and fostering a customer-focused culture built on accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement.

- Working closely with:
- Senior Finance leaders
- Finance Business Partners
- Local finance teams
- Technology and Operations teams
- Driving standardisation, automation, and digital transformation initiatives across R2R and AP.
- Leading control and compliance activities, ensuring:
- Audit readiness
- Strengthened risk management frameworks
- Championing process improvements across ERP, procurement, and workflow platforms.
- Serving as a key escalation point for stakeholders while supporting:
- Transformation programmes
- Integration initiatives
- System migration projects
- Delivering insightful reporting and service excellence to enable informed business decision-making.
What will help you succeed?
Essential
- Significant leadership experience within:
- Record to Report
- Accounts Payable
- Shared Services finance operations
- Professional accounting qualification:
- ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or equivalent
- In-depth knowledge of:
- Financial close cycles
- Payables processes
- Financial control frameworks
- Proven track record in:
- Driving automation
- Digital transformation
- Process optimisation initiatives
- Strong expertise in:
- ERP and finance systems
- Improving finance operations performance
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills

Desirable
- Experience in regulated industries, such as:
- Legal Services
- Insurance
- Professional Services
- Degree qualification in:
- Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related discipline
- Experience supporting:
- Finance transformation
- Integration or system migration programmes
- Technical knowledge of:
- RPA (Robotic Process Automation)
- AI-enabled finance processes
- Workflow automation tools
- Qualifications or experience in:
- Lean or Six Sigma
- CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply)
- Operating within multi-jurisdictional or international organisations
