About the Role

At Osprey Engineering Solutions, we specialise in placing key talent within the UK’s engineering sector. With decades of expertise in fields like fluid power, flow control, pneumatics, hydraulics, automation, motion control, robotics, power transmission, compressors, and filtration, we’re trusted by manufacturers, distributors, and OEMs.

Now expanding our Birmingham-based team, we’re looking for an experienced Senior Recruitment Consultant to:

  • Take ownership of a warm, established client and candidate base
  • Drive business growth through proactive development of new accounts
  • Deliver full-cycle recruitment from briefing to onboarding and beyond
  • Mentor junior consultants in a collaborative, low-ego environment

Your Responsibilities

  • Join with an active desk: From day one, you’ll inherit live roles, established clients, and a network of decision-makers and talent.
  • Build and nurture relationships: Strategically expand client and candidate bases while maintaining long-term trust with engineering professionals.
  • Commercial leadership: Win new business, deepen existing client engagements, and anticipate market trends to shape future recruitment priorities.
  • Excellence in fulfilment: Lead from consultation to onboarding, ensuring smooth placements with genuine career fit.
  • Team development: Support junior consultants and uphold a culture of high performance, mutual respect, and commercial accountability.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
