Senior Recruitment Consultant - Accounting and Finance
Overview
Join a specialist Accountancy & Finance practice focused on placing talented professionals into permanent and interim roles across practice, industry and corporate finance teams. You will partner with established clients across financial services, professional services, fintech and industry to deliver high quality hires. This opportunity is suited to an experienced recruitment consultant who is commercially driven, client focussed and motivated to grow a book of business within a reputable brand.
Responsibilities

Manage full lifecycle recruitment for accounting and finance roles: intake and role briefing, targeted sourcing, candidate assessment, interview preparation, offer negotiation and onboarding.

Build and maintain strong relationships with hiring managers, finance leaders, HR partners and senior stakeholders to become a trusted recruitment adviser.

Generate new business through proactive market engagement, outbound prospecting and relationship development to expand your client portfolio.

Deliver an excellent candidate experience while managing multiple vacancies to agreed SLAs and commercial targets.

Develop and execute proactive sourcing strategies including market mapping, targeted headhunting, database searches, social recruiting and network referrals.

Provide market insight, competitor intelligence and salary benchmarking to clients; advise on hiring strategy, role design and talent availability.

Achieve and exceed individual billings and KPI targets, contributing to team revenue and broader business objectives.

Coach and mentor junior consultants, share best practice and support a collaborative, high performance team culture.
Skills
What we’re looking for:

Proven recruitment experience, ideally placing accounting and finance professionals into permanent and interim roles across practice, industry or financial services.

Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence hiring decisions at all levels and build long‑term client partnerships.

Commercially driven with a consistent track record of meeting or exceeding billing targets and developing new business.

Confident business developer who is comfortable with proactive outreach, consultative selling and presenting market insight.

Organised, resilient and able to prioritise effectively in a fast‑paced environment while managing multiple assignments.

Experience using ATS/CRM systems, digital sourcing tools and competent with MS Office or equivalent productivity software.
