MJMK is entering an exciting phase of growth, with new restaurant openings ahead and great people at the heart of it. We are looking for a Recruitment Manager to drive recruitment across the group: someone out there every day finding brilliant hospitality talent, championing MJMK and filling our restaurants with people who make them special.
This role is made for someone from an operations background who knows intricately what every site role involves, from KP to GM, because they've worked alongside them all. You might be a General Manager ready to step off the floor and focus on recruitment full time. Above all, you are obsessed with restaurants and hospitality, and it shows in every conversation you have with a candidate.
This is a hands-on, delivery-focused role. You will own the full recruitment journey, sourcing, screening, interviewing and placing, making sure every role is filled with the right person at pace, and every candidate feels valued and excited to join us from day one.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive recruitment across all MJMK restaurants and the support office, owning every hire from first contact through to their induction.
- Proactively source and headhunt through LinkedIn Recruiter, The Caterer and your own networks, building pipelines before roles even open.
- Run screening calls and interviews with care and pace, using your operator's eye to assess real fit.
- Champion MJMK, so the best people in hospitality want to build their careers with us.
- Partner with Operations and heads of department on workforce planning and hiring.
- Stay close to the restaurants, so you know every team, culture and who will thrive where.
- Own the ATS, job boards and job descriptions, keeping open roles and content accurate and on brand.
- Coach managers to hire brilliantly and keep everything, from pipelines to offers, impeccably organised.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

About MJMK Restaurants
MJMK Restaurants owns and operates a collection of award-winning restaurants. Founded in 2018 by lifelong friends Jake Kasumov and Marco Mendes, our journey began with Casa do Frango.
In 2020, we partnered with chef patron Santiago Lastra to open KOL, a restaurant in Marylebone celebrating Mexican cuisine with British ingredients. KOL has since earned a Michelin star and been named one of the World's 50 Best Restaurants.
2024 saw two new ventures: Fonda, a contemporary Mexican concept in Mayfair, our second collaboration with Santiago Lastra, and AngloThai in Marylebone, a debut restaurant from husband-and-wife John and Desiree Chantarasak, blending Thai flavours with British ingredients. Within three months of opening, AngloThai earned a Michelin star.
In the 2025 National Restaurant Awards, AngloThai was named The Square Opening of the Year and ranked 7th in the Top 100 list, followed by KOL at number 50. Luso, a contemporary Portuguese restaurant in Fitzrovia, opened in September 2025.
We're building ambitious restaurant brands with a focus on quality, creativity and guest experience, and we're just getting started.
