Senior Recruitment Support Officer
We are seeking to appoint a Senior Recruitment Support Officer to lead the day-to-day operations of the Recruitment Support function. Reporting to the Associate Director of Recruitment and Admissions, the post holder will be responsible for the line management of the Recruitment Support team and for ensuring the effective coordination and delivery of support across the department.

Salary: Grade 7 from: £41,292 to £48,557 per annum, inclusive of London Weighting with potential to progress to £52,761 per annum, inclusive of London Weighting, through sustained exceptional contribution (pro-rata if part-time).

About the Role
The Recruitment and Admissions department plays a key role in supporting the student journey from initial enquiry through to enrolment. The Recruitment Support team provides essential operational, logistical and administrative support to enable the successful delivery of recruitment activity across the UK and internationally.
We are seeking to appoint a Senior Recruitment Support Officer to lead the day-to-day operations of the Recruitment Support function. Reporting to the Associate Director of Recruitment and Admissions, the post holder will be responsible for the line management of the Recruitment Support team and for ensuring the effective coordination and delivery of support across the department.

The role requires close collaboration with colleagues across Admissions, UK Recruitment & Widening Access, International Recruitment, and the Language Centre. The successful candidate will support the planning and delivery of recruitment events, visits and programmes, ensuring that all logistical and operational requirements are met to a high standard.
The post holder will also contribute to the continuous improvement of processes and systems, support budget management (via financial processing) and operational activity, and play a role in major institutional events such as Clearing. There will be opportunities to contribute to service development and, where required, deputise for the Associate Director.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership: Lead the Recruitment Support team, providing line management and ensuring effective coordination and delivery of support.
- Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues across various departments to support recruitment activities.
- Planning: Support the planning and delivery of recruitment events, visits, and programmes.
- Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes and systems.
- Budget Management: Support budget management through financial processing.
- Major Events: Play a role in major institutional events such as Clearing.
- Service Development: Contribute to service development and deputise for the Associate Director as required.
Requirements
- Experience in a similar administrative or operational role, ideally within higher education or a comparable environment.
- Experience of staff management, coordinating complex workloads, and delivering high standards of customer service.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work both independently and collaboratively.
- High level of attention to detail and confidence in working with data and systems.
- Commitment to delivering high standards of customer service.
