Fellowship Post
This is a substantive six-month fellowship post, extendable to 12 months subject to satisfactory internal review, open to all post-fellowship anaesthetic specialist registrars who wish to develop a further interest in critical care medicine in a specialist cancer hospital.
The trainee would expect to deliver resident on call 24 to 48 hour shifts on our Sutton site with further day time sessions at the Fulham Road site Critical Care Unit or anaesthesia sessions based on the requirements of the successful candidate. The resident on call commitment covers the three bedded Critical Care Unit on our Sutton site, as well as providing leadership and support to the Critical Care Outreach Service. The weekend on call commitment is 1 in 6 weekends. Weekday on call is on average one night per week with the commensurate time off post on call.
The post would suit an individual seeking Out of Programme for Experience (OOPE). The post would also suit an individual looking for post-CCT experience.
