Pinsent Masons Vario Financial Services Regulatory Consulting is supporting a leading digital assets and financial services organisation in the search for an experienced Regulatory Compliance Contractor.

Location: London (Hybrid/Flexible)
Contract: Initial 6-Month Contract
Rate: Competitive Daily Rate

We are seeking a senior compliance professional to provide hands-on regulatory support during a period of significant growth, regulatory change, and compliance framework enhancement.

This role is ideally suited to an individual with strong Capital Markets compliance experience, deep knowledge of FCA regulation, and exposure to crypto/digital assets regulatory compliance. While crypto experience is highly desirable, candidates with a strong traditional financial services regulatory background and an interest in the sector will also be considered.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead regulatory remediation and compliance enhancement projects
  • Provide compliance oversight and advisory support across Financial Promotions and COBS requirements
  • Conduct regulatory gap analysis and drive remediation activities
  • Review, enhance, and tailor existing compliance frameworks to UK regulatory expectations
  • Support ongoing FCA authorisation and regulatory change initiatives
  • Partner with senior stakeholders across Compliance, Legal, Risk, and the wider business
  • Help develop scalable governance and compliance oversight arrangements

Candidate Requirements

  • Significant experience within an FCA-regulated financial services environment
  • Strong Capital Markets compliance background
  • Deep understanding of FCA regulatory frameworks and compliance implementation
  • Proven ability to operate in a hands-on, delivery-focused role
  • Experience managing regulatory change and remediation programmes
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills

Desirable Experience

  • Crypto/Digital Assets regulatory compliance experience
  • Exposure to both wholesale/capital markets and retail regulatory environments
  • Experience supporting FCA authorisation processes
  • Knowledge of the evolving UK crypto regulatory landscape
