Senior Regulatory Compliance Officer
Compliance Officer – Product Compliance Advisory (London, Hybrid: 4 days office/1 day remote)
Salary: Up to £120,000
About the Role
We’re collaborating with a high-growth European fintech payments firm seeking a newly created Compliance Officer to drive regulatory excellence during their international expansion and ahead of their Series D funding round.
Your work will span product compliance, expansion planning, regulatory reporting, and framework governance.
Key Responsibilities
- Product Compliance Advisory
- Embedding FCA/PRA/EBA regulatory requirements into product design and rollout, from inception to live launch.

International Expansion
- Navigating licensing and regulatory landscapes for growth into new markets across EU terrain.

Regulatory Reporting
- Managing communications with regulators, including filings, litres, and FCA/PRA/EBA/ECB correspondence.

Policies & Controls
- Increasing regulatory rigour, detecting compliance gaps, and driving operational improvements.

Regulatory Change
- Assessing and implementing new regulations (e.g., developments from DORA, PSD2/Libra, MiCA) timely and effectively.
Core Experience Requirements
- Scaling Payments/Neobanking Compliance – Hands-on experience supporting an EMI licensing application (or similar agile licensing scenario) is essential.
- Deep EU/UK Regulatory Knowledge – Proven expertise with PSD2/SCA, PRIIPs, MIFID II, and digital money institutions.
- Multi-Disciplinary Collaboration – Bridged the gap between compliance, product, legal, and senior business stakeholders successfully.
- Process Leveraging – Drive culture and change around risk control frameworks, not just policing conduct.
- Series-D Level Ambition – Confident in shaping compliance as a solutions partner—not just complex gatekeeper—for explosive scale.
