Broker – Reinsurance Solutions

Are you ready to make an impact in the dynamic world of reinsurance?

Aon is seeking a Broker to join our Reinsurance Solutions team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute in developing and structuring innovative risk transfer and capital solutions for our clients (cedents/syndicates/MGAs) and engaging with markets globally to place these structures. Knowledge of Lloyd’s is helpful and so is the desire to add, contribute, and learn.

As a Broker, you will be part of the team in delivering capital-efficient solutions by using Aon’s extensive industry expertise and network-wide capabilities. The role is for someone who is passionate about problem-solving and relationship management in a high-impact environment.

About The Role

  • Strategic Broking and Advisory - Collaborate with a high-performing team to develop and implement strategic broking projects/reinsurance strategies for clients
  • Market and Business Development - Contribute to proposals, implement go-to-market strategies, and develop business growth initiatives
  • Client-Centric Problem-Solving – Understand client challenges and develop tailored high-impact recommendations
  • Data Analytics and Market Submissions – Collect, analyse, and prepare data for critical client submissions
  • Market Strategy and Broking Execution - Support and contribute to the development of market presentations and broking strategies to secure efficient results
  • Portfolio Management and Growth - Facilitating broking and renewal of existing portfolios while identifying and developing new opportunities
  • Contract and Documentation Review – Ensure accuracy in endorsements, info packs, slips to meet regulatory and client standards
  • Building Strong Relationships - Develop and nurture long-term relationships with clients, reinsurers, and market collaborators
  • Independence and Agility - Take ownership of projects while collaborating with Aon teams in a fast-paced environment
  • Bringing to bear Aon’s Global Capabilities – Collaborating with global teams across business lines to improve the value of Aon’s extensive re/insurance and capital advisory expertise

About You

  • A proactive and results-oriented approach to close business opportunities
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a business growth mindset
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Experience in re/insurance and broking is mandatory
  • Fair understanding of re/insurance financial statements
  • How to optimise deal economics in Re/insurance trade
  • Ability to thrive in a past-faced dynamic environment
  • Knowledge of both insurance and reinsurance is helpful

Skills And Experience For Success

To excel in the role, you should possess:

  • Technical Expertise in Reinsurance – Understanding of market dynamics (MGA/delegated authority industry, Lloyd’s, Company market)
  • Proven Ability to Build Market Relationships – A track record in maintaining and developing successful relations with clients and markets
  • Outstanding Communication Skills – Ability to convey and deliver impactful work for client and market engagement and effective negotiations
  • Strong Prioritisation and Execution Skills
  • A Disciplined Approach to manage multiple tasks managing strict deadlines and delivering high-quality outputs within stipulated timelines
  • Advanced level of IT competency (Intermediate level in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Sharepoint, Co-pilot, CPT)
