Position Summary
The REO Asset Manager is responsible for managing a portfolio of assets on a loan level basis while maximizing the return for the investor.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Manages the disposition of a portfolio of real estate owned assets.
- Reviews appraisals and broker price opinions and establishes market values and strategies to sell assets in a manner which maximizes recovery and minimizes expenses while in compliance with established policies and procedures.
- Provides hands-on approach as it relates to internal processes and vendor management.
- Ensures sale and disposition of assets through strict timeline management.
- Ensures timely and accurate reports are received for distribution.
- Provides recommendations for procedural changes and improvements as they pertain to the department.
- Stays abreast of changes to federal and state mortgage laws and regulations affecting the operation.

Education/Experience
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
- Associate's degree (A.A.) from a two-year college preferred.
- Two to four years' related experience and/or training required.
Language Ability
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Mathematical Ability
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills
- Working knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
- Previous experience with Pyramid, MSP, Black Knight/LPS, and Sagent preferred.
