Senior Reporting Accountant – Real Estate Investment Consultancy

We are working with a growing real estate investment and fund consultancy that is looking to appoint a technically strong Senior Reporting Accountant to join its London finance team.

This is a broad, high-impact position offering significant autonomy and exposure across statutory reporting, technical accounting, financial controls and process improvement.

The successful candidate will work across a varied portfolio of real estate and fund structures, partnering closely with financial controllers, senior leadership, external auditors and advisers.

The role would particularly suit an ACA or CA-qualified accountant with a strong audit background who is looking to move from practice into a commercially focused finance environment, with immediate exposure to complex real estate and fund structures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the review of statutory financial statements across a portfolio of UK and offshore entities.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant reporting frameworks, including IFRS, FRS 102 and Jersey GAAP.
  • Coordinate external audits, manage information requests and support the resolution of technical queries.
  • Review accounting policies, disclosures and significant judgement areas, including investment property valuations, lease accounting and intercompany transactions.
  • Take ownership of the firm’s ISAE 3402 assurance programme, including coordinating stakeholders, reviewing control findings and overseeing remediation activity.
  • Act as an internal technical accounting specialist, advising on complex and non-routine transactions.
  • Prepare technical accounting papers and supporting documentation for audit sign-off.
  • Monitor changes to financial reporting standards and assess their impact across the business.
  • Support accounting for acquisitions, disposals, development activity, debt restructurings and new entity onboarding.
  • Review quarterly management accounts and investor reporting to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Contribute to finance transformation and process improvement projects, with a focus on improving controls, data quality and reporting efficiency.
  • Support the evaluation and implementation of new finance systems and reporting tools.
  • Deliver technical training and support the professional development of ACA and ACCA trainees within the business.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
