Job Title: Senior Reporting Lead

Salary: From £38k depending on skills and experience
About The Role
We’re looking for a Senior Reporting Lead to transform data into meaningful insight that drives environmental and operational performance.
In this role, you’ll go beyond producing reports—you’ll interrogate complex datasets, uncover trends and root causes, and translate findings into clear, actionable intelligence. Your work will directly support improvements in areas such as environmental compliance, pollution reduction, flooding risk and operational efficiency.
What You Will Be Responsible For
- Lead the development of automated reporting solutions and dashboards where required, improving how performance is tracked, understood and acted upon across the business.
- Bring a strong analytical mindset and the ability to turn data into insight and action.
- Explain complex analysis clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Take a structured, logical approach to problem solving.
- Focus on data quality, accuracy and assurance.
- Be proactive, improvement-focused and confident challenging the status quo.
- Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Essential
What you’ll bring to the role:
- Experience in data analysis, reporting or business intelligence roles.
- Advanced Excel (data modelling, Power Query, automation).
- Experience with Power BI (dashboards, data models).
- Strong analytical and data interrogation skills, including trend and root cause analysis.

Desirable
- Experience in a regulated, operational or environmental environment.
- Knowledge of performance management, KPIs and assurance frameworks.
- Experience with Alteryx or automated data pipelines.
- Background in finance, business analysis or project/programme delivery.
Qualifications
- Degree (or equivalent experience) in a relevant discipline such as Data/Analytics, Mathematics, Business, Engineering or Environmental Science.
