- Express and purify antibodies (aVHHs, single-domain binders, or other formats) from biosynthesis systems.
- Evaluate and characterise candidate binders’ interactions with their targets via:
- Binding affinity and specificity assays (e.g., ELISA, SPR)
- Biophysical property assessments (e.g., thermal stability, pharmacokinetic profiling)
- Facilitate molecular cloning for optimisation workflows, ensuring seamless integration with screening operations.
Key Requirements
Essential
- Degree: Bachelor’s (BSc) or Master’s (MSc) in life sciences, biochemistry, molecular biology, or a related field.
- Experience (Minimum 2 years) in antibody/protein expression and screening with hands-on expertise in:
- Protein expression (e.g., bacterial, E. coli, or mammalian cells).
- Binder characterisation (ELISA, Surface Plasmon Resonance, or equivalent).
- Purification and assay validation workflows.
- Problem-solving & adaptability: Proven ability to troubleshoot complex lab issues, manage multi-task workflows, and communicate data concisely with cross-functional teams.
Desirable (Optional Pluses)
- Experience in cloning and antibody reformatting (e.g., converting antigen-binding fragments for new formats).
- Hands-on with high-throughput workflows (e.g., liquid handlers, plate-based automation) or standardised documentation systems.
- Knowledge of antibody conjugations or labels (e.g., biotinylation, fluorophore attachment, or radionuclide tagging).
