The Senior Research Associate – High Throughput Screening is responsible for antibody (binder) screening and data generation, with a focus on identifying candidates with the appropriate binding characteristics. This position reports to the Director of Production and is part of the Danaher Affinity Reagent Autonomous Lab (DARAL) located in Cambridge, UK and will be an on-site role. In this role, you will have the opportunity to: Express and purify antibodies, VHHs, or other binder formats. Evaluate candidate binders for target interaction and characterise their biophysical properties. Perform molecular cloning to support screening and optimisation workflows. The essential requirements of the job include: BSc and/or MSc in a life sciences subject. At least 2 years of hands-on industry experience in antibody expression and screening (e.g., bacterial expression, mammalian transfection, ELISA, SPR). Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot experimental issues, manage multiple tasks in parallel, and communicate progress clearly within a team. It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in: Cloning and antibody reformatting High-throughput or semi-automated workflows (e.g., plate-based cloning, standardised documentation, workflow transfer) Antibody conjugation or labelling techniques (e.g., biotin or fluorescent labelling) Abcam, a Danaher operating company, offers a broad array of comprehensive, competitive benefit programs that add value to our lives.
