The Resident Engineer - Product
The Resident Engineer - Product will be the key supplier representative, onsite within the customer's product development team.
You'll play a key role in the development of customer products, supporting projects from initial concept through to validation, launch and mass production.
Responsibilities
The Resident Engineer - Product will be responsible for:
- Supporting product development from initial concept, quotation and prototyping through to production release.
- Managing technical requirements and risk throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Ensuring customer specifications, cost targets, manufacturing requirements and project timelines are achieved.
- Acting as the technical interface between customers and internal functions including design, manufacturing and industrialisation.
- Coordinating product testing activities, analysing results and implementing corrective actions where required.
- Supporting product launches and working with programme teams to resolve technical issues and deliver successful outcomes.

Requirements
The Resident Engineer - Product will have:
- Experience within automotive engineering, preferably with Powertrain or Plastic based systems and components.
- Knowledge of product development processes from concept to production.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Business-level English language skills.
- Willingness to travel regularly for customer and project requirements.
