Senior Residential Child Care Worker
£32,061 – £36,363 per annum Permanent, Full-Time (37 hours per week) Located in East Lancashire
Additional enhancements available for shift work, weekend working, and sleep-in duties.

About the Role
As a Senior Residential Child Care Worker, you will lead a team of Residential Child Care Workers (RCCWs) while delivering exceptional care and support to young people in your care.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead by example, acting as a shift leader.
- Champion the care, safety, and development of children with complex needs.
- Implement and monitor care plans, education plans, and emotional wellbeing strategies.
- Mentor staff, ensuring high standards of practice.
- Contribute to safeguarding, inspections, and care planning processes.
This role operates on a rotational system, including day shifts, evenings, weekends, and sleep-in shifts.
About You
To excel in this challenging yet rewarding role, you will:
- Possess at least 3 years’ experience in children’s social care or residential settings.
- Hold a QCF Level 4 or NVQ Level 3/4 qualification (or equivalent).
- Be confident leading shifts and supervising staff as a Team Leader.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of safeguarding and children’s legislation.
- Be resilient, compassionate, and committed to improving outcomes for young people.
