Senior Residential Childrens Support Worker

Position: Senior Children's Residential Support Worker – Wilderness Way

About the Role

As a Senior Children’s Residential Support Worker, you’ll lead with passion and expertise, shaping the lives of the children in our care. It’s a fulfilling and dynamic opportunity to mentor, inspire, and create lasting change.


Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Lead by example: Be the AI (Always Inspirational) support worker—mentor, coach, and motivate your team.
  • Problem-solve and empower: Take charge of everyday challenges with creativity and resilience.
  • Build meaningful relationships: Work closely with multi-disciplinary teams (therapists, doctors, and educators) to develop personalised, child-focused care plans.
  • Be present and trustworthy: Whether it’s homework support, outdoor activities, or simply being a steady emotional anchor, you’ll make every moment count.
  • Set a positive example: Model empathy, patience, and professionalism for both children and your team.

Key Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

✅ Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People’s Workforce (or equivalent). ✅ Extensive experience in residential childcare or similar settings. ✅ Strong ability to manage challenging behaviours with patience and professionalism.
