Senior Residential Support Worker

Residential Support Worker (Senior) – Compass Homes

About the Role

As a Senior Residential Support Worker with Compass, you will:

  • Foster an environment where children are accepted as they are in a non-judgmental way, helping them build self-esteem and confidence for adulthood.
  • Teach life skills to support their growth and development.
  • Build positive, trusting relationships while safeguarding their well-being at all times.

This is a leadership-focused position where you will:

  • Oversee and supervise residential staff
  • Lead shifts and implement policies, procedures, and risk assessments
  • Coordinate rotas and ensure placement plans are followed
  • Support education and holistic development for the children you care for
  • Offer guidance to Residential Workers across the team

You’ll engage with diverse children and young people, some of whom may require high levels of care and supervision.


Requirements

We are looking for:

  • Minimum 22 years of age (due to Ofsted regulations)
  • NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Children’s and Young People’s Workforce
  • At least 2 years of experience in residential childcare and working with young people
  • A valid manual driving licence (essential for this role)
