Our brand new Children's Homes are recruiting for Senior Residential Support Workers now! We are looking for enthusiastic, caring and passionate people to become an integral part of our support team. In this role, you will support our young people and be responsible for providing compassionate care during your time with them. This role also involves supporting the Registered Manager to run a successful staff team and to oversee the day to day operation of the homes.

Based across the picturesque market towns of Trowbridge and Frome, our children's homes provide nurturing and support for children and young people with a range of needs, including autism, mental health challenges, emotional and behavioural difficulties, and learning disabilities. The overall focus of the homes is to achieve positive outcomes for young people, we do this through multi agency working, personalised care planning and creating positive attachments.

A Level 3 Qualification In Children’s Residential And Childcare Is Essential, As Well As Previous Experience Within a Residential Childcare Setting Along With The Following Characteristics

  • Resilience We support some of the most vulnerable children in society who have varying degrees of emotional behavioural difficulties, autism, ADHD and associated difficulties so there will be times where your resilience is challenged.
  • Communication Communicating with our young people is vital to understand their needs. Good teamwork and communication plays a key part in ensuring important information is relayed to other staff.
  • Organisation As well as supervising the staff team, you’ll need to be confident and organised in updating care plans and reporting information that will be relevant to the care of our young people.
  • Caring Our young people require the best care we can offer. If you are a naturally caring and compassionate person, this is the role for you.
  • Attentive No young person is the same so being attentive to understand them and identify areas where we can support is important.
