Senior Residential Support Worker - Plymouth
Senior Support Worker – Supported Accommodation Home | Plymouth, Devon
We are recruiting committed and patient Senior Support Workers for our new supported accommodation home in Plymouth, Devon, to support young people aged 16+ as they transition toward independent living.
About the Role
As a Senior Support Worker, your role is pivotal in:
- Teaching and guiding young people in essential life skills, preparing them for independence
- Supporting with day-to-day tasks, schoolwork, and college engagement
- Implementing trauma-informed practices to provide consistent, compassionate care for young individuals who may have experienced Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) or trauma
Essential qualifications: A Level 3 NVQ in Residential Childcare (or an equivalent qualification) is required.

Requirements
- Average hours: 39 per week
- Must be prepared for 2–3 sleep-ins per week, paid at an extra £50 per sleep-in
- Standard shift pattern: Two-on, four-off
- Initial training period: Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm (travel may be required)
- Lone working with young people will be part of the role
- Full, valid driver’s licence is essential
- DBS and safeguarding checks will be required
