We are seeking a highly experienced professional to step into a pivotal role where your deep expertise in resource management, consulting operations, and contingent workforce management will directly shape the success of high-impact projects. As a recognised authority and key contributor within our Resource Management function, you will be instrumental in ensuring our global delivery teams are perfectly aligned to achieve revenue targets, optimise labour utilisation, and deliver exceptional staffing excellence across our entire portfolio. Your sound judgment, strong commercial acumen, and comprehensive understanding of staffing processes will drive critical decisions, from industry-aligned skills matching to contractor negotiations and scope development, making a tangible impact on our operational efficiency and client success.
This is a 12-month, hybrid contract, offering up to £46.70 per hour – 35 hrs/week (PAYE).

What You’ll Do
- Optimise project resource assignment based on engagement model, skills alignment, cost, availability, and revenue potential, prioritizing internal sourcing.
- Act as the primary owner for resource requests, assignment confirmations, scheduling, and conflict resolution.
- Partner closely with managers to understand consultant skill proficiency, industry experience, career objectives, and training or cross-training needs.
- Proactively identify staffing risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Maintain accurate resource assignments and schedules within Professional Services automation tools.
- Deliver timely reporting and analysis on resource supply and demand, utilization forecasting, and subcontractor usage — both on a regular and ad hoc basis.
- Monitor trends and analyze key resourcing metrics, including under- and over-utilization, future staffing needs, and potential recruitment requirements.
- Track resource utilization, identify bottlenecks, align with resource plans, and manage time-sensitive requests.
- Facilitate weekly staffing meetings with delivery management.
- Participate in deal assessments and internal deal reviews.
- Lead the end-to-end process for identifying, sourcing, and onboarding contingent workers when external resources are required.
- Build and maintain strong, multi-level relationships with strategic external partners.
- Develop, review, and/or approve partner Statements of Work (SOW).
- Complete purchase order requests and secure approvals within agreed service levels, aligned to delivery start dates.
- Request and manage onboarding for partner resources.
- Manage cost and revenue forecasting related to partner spend, including weekly burn rate and identifying corrective actions where required.
- Maintain an understanding of partner markets, business propositions, capabilities, and market positioning.
- Follow corporate partner usage guidelines and identify opportunities to use partners strategically to extend staffing options.
- Maintain documented processes and records, and manage accurate consultant skills profiles.
- Collaborate with delivery managers regarding demand needs and training opportunities.
- Align with and contribute to standard processes used by the Resource Management function.

Must-Have Qualifications
- Solid experience in professional services resource management.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Strong influencing and negotiation skills with leaders at all levels.
- Demonstrated experience with project financials.
- Degree-level qualification or equivalent experience preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Excel, PowerPoint, collaboration tools).
- Demonstrated experience using integrated Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and Professional Services Automation (PSA) platforms.
- Ability to manage competing priorities effectively and adapt to evolving business needs.
- Proven ability to operate autonomously with a proactive, self-starting approach.
- Conduct all activities in a highly professional manner that instills confidence and consistently adds business value.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Challenge assumptions and support recommendations with data.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
- Proficiency in a second language is desirable.
