Showroom Leadership & Expertise
A new Showroom Manager with 30+ years of specialist jewellery experience now leads our Birmingham team. Their background spans:
- Manufacturing and high-end retail
- Senior leadership roles, most recently overseeing the successful launch of a multi-showroom environment for a global watch and jewellery retailer
This expertise brings a luxury-focused perspective, ensuring the Birmingham Showroom sets the standard.
The Role: Senior Sales Advisor

You will:
- Work closely with the Showroom Manager
- Set the benchmark for professionalism on the showroom floor
- Ensure every interaction embodies heritage, luxury, and expertise
Key Responsibilities

Client Engagement:
- Greet and serve all clients in a consultative, professional, and welcoming manner from the welcome desk
- Develop strong sales performance daily while meeting all Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Operational Leadership:
- Oversee the rotating welcome desk roster, ensuring efficient scheduling
- Ensure all paperwork is appropriately signed for products at every stage

Conflict Resolution:
- Investigate and resolve any customer issues to the satisfaction of both parties

Client Experience:
- Deliver exceptional levels of client service

Store Performance:
- Maintain close communication with the Showroom Manager to discuss trading performance

Compliance & Operations:
- Strict adherence to cash control measures
- Conduct daily stock takes and ensure procedures are followed properly

Knowledge & Policy Upholding:
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all store policies, procedures, and product lines
- Regularly update product knowledge to remain a professional and knowledgeable industry resource
About You
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Sales Senior looking to bridge the gap between advisor and leadership, with the ambition to develop further. Successful candidates will:

- Have proven Senior Sales experience within a retail, luxury, or jewellery industry environment
- Demonstrate sales acumen with a strong track record of KPI achievement and client relationship management
- Display a passionate, client-focused attitude
- Approach challenges with resilience, professionalism, and creativity
- Be willing to go the extra mile—whether under pressure or to resolve complex customer needs
This is a hands-on, committed role where you will shape the customer experience while building towards a more leadership-focused position within Cooksongold’s Birmingham team.
