About Us
For over 30 years, Tjarks & Tjarks has specialised in private-label branding and packaging, creating design that performs at the retail shelf. We combine creativity, precision and production expertise to deliver end-to-end design and artwork solutions for global retailers. Our culture is built around reliability, consistency, collaboration, and exceptional attention to detail.
The Role
We are looking for an experienced Senior Retoucher & AI Image Specialist to join our image production team. The primary focus of the role is high-quality retouching and image production across packaging, food and beverage, beauty, FMCG, and brand communications. Alongside this, you will use AI image tools to support and improve existing creative workflows.
This is a hands-on production role for someone with strong Photoshop skills, excellent visual judgement, and a practical understanding of how AI can enhance image creation, retouching, and compositing. You will work closely with designers, artworkers, photographers, CGI specialists, and account teams to create accurate, consistent, and production-ready imagery.
Key Responsibilities
Retouching and Image Production
- Deliver high-quality retouching for packaging, brand, and campaign projects.
- Complete complex compositing, colour correction, image reconstruction, texture work, and photorealistic image enhancement.
- Create accurate product, ingredient, and lifestyle imagery for use across packaging and brand communications.
- Ensure imagery is consistent with brand guidelines, creative direction, and approved references.
- Prepare images to meet print production standards and technical specifications.
- Maintain a high level of colour accuracy, consistency, and attention to detail.
- Support the creation of product mock-ups, visualisations, and presentation imagery.
- Organise and maintain image files, working assets, and image libraries.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
