Job Description
Summary of the Role
Supports the Asset Compliance Lead by owning and maintaining the Infrastructure Risk Register ensuring that infrastructure risks are identified, assessed, monitored and reported in line with client policy.
The role provides a single, coherent view of infrastructure risks across the Estate, ensuring risk information is current, validated and supported by appropriate mitigations and action plans. It coordinates risk review cycles, tracks ownership and progress, and ensures that risks are effectively escalated through governance forums to support the Head of Establishment / Nuclear Authorisee’s understanding of infrastructure risks.
🛠️ Key Responsibilities
- Own and maintain the Infrastructure Risk Register, ensuring risks are identified, assessed and managed in line with Client policy.
- Lead risk reviews with infrastructure teams, ensuring accurate risk scoring, effective mitigations and robust action plans.
- Monitor risk ownership, track actions to completion and ensure timely updates to the risk register.
- Produce risk reports, dashboards and trend analysis to support governance meetings and senior leadership decision-making.
- Escalate significant and emerging risks through the appropriate governance framework to support informed risk management.
- Ensure alignment with the wider Integrated Risk Management (IRM) framework, maintaining consistent reporting and risk standards.
- Drive the continuous improvement of risk management processes, tools and reporting across infrastructure functions.
- Work collaboratively with stakeholders to promote proactive risk management, governance excellence and a strong safety and compliance culture.

Qualifications
EXPERIENCE
Essential:
- Risk management knowledge
- Infrastructure experience
Desirable:
- Experience of working with the Ministry of Defence / HM Government
- Experience of working in highly regulated environments
QUALIFICATIONS & TRAINING
Essential:
- HNC level qualification in a relevant subject or equivalent experience
