Senior Robotic Fellow – Norfolk & Waveney Urology Service

Role: Full-time, fixed-term (1st May 2027 – 30th April 2028) Location: Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital (NNUH), covering three Acute Trusts

About the Role

Applications are sought for a replacement Senior Robotic Fellow position within Norfolk and Waveney Urology, based at Norwich University Hospitals NHS Trust. Trained in general urology, you’ll contribute to a multi-trust department delivering care across a broad patient demographic.

The selected Fellow will participate in a structured robotic urology training programme, designed to equip them with expertise for independent practice upon completion. This unique role spans clinical training, research, and established multidisciplinary team collaborative practices—including weekly Uro-Oncology cancer MDT visits and consults.

Core Responsibilities

Clinical Practice

  • Provide middle-grade urology care, including:
    • Handling emergent consultations and referrals from other specialties
    • List support for robotic, open, and minimally invasive procedures
    • On-call commitments (1 in 12 rota), supported by FY/CT/PA/UNP peers during the day
  • Operate within a collaborative multi-disciplinary team (MDTs), working closely with middle-grade surgeons, clinical and nursing staff, trainees, and consultants

Training & Development

  • Undergo a comprehensive structured training in robotic urology, progressing towards independent operative competence
  • Integrate into a personal development plan (PDP) tailored to your goals, encompassing:
    • Hands-on procedural experience (general urology + robotics)
    • Weekly Uro-Oncology activities: MDT meetings, specialist clinic attendance
    • Supported exposure to audit, research, and education projects

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
