Your impact As a Senior Rolling Stock Engineer, you’ll shape the next generation of rail systems, ensuring seamless, sustainable, and safe transportation solutions. You’ll collaborate with operators, manufacturers, and policymakers to:

- Optimise performance, reliability, and decarbonisation of existing systems

- Supporting new rolling stock introductions and fleet upgrades
- Defining technical specifications and performance targets
- Conducting engineering assessments and design validation reviews
- Supporting testing, commissioning, and acceptance phases
- Advising on sustainability, fleet management, and operational readiness

Who You Are
We’re looking for a solution-driven engineer with:
✅ Proven experience introducing new rolling stock or maintaining existing fleets ✅ Rail systems expertise (operator, manufacturer, infrastructure or consultant perspective) ✅ Relevant education: Degree/HNC or equivalent in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or related fields ✅ Knowledge of modern rolling stock and enthusiasm for emerging technologies/innovations ✅ Client leadership skills—able to shape critical workstreams or collaborate as a core team member ✅ Strategic mindset with adaptability in a fast-moving industry
