Job Overview

ARM’s hardware is at the heart of the AI, computing and connectivity revolution that continues to transform the way people live and businesses operate.

We're looking for a hard-working, motivated and creative engineer to join a specialist, multi-disciplinary, multi-cultural team in Bristol, developing innovative and powerful IPs used across multiple lines of businesses ranging from Physical AI, Automotive and Edge to Infrastructure computing!

If you're passionate about high-quality digital IPs and modern tech used across different product segments, we would like to hear from you!

Responsibilities

As an RTL Design Engineer, you would be required to:

  • Analyse specifications to understand implementation challenges and collaborate with architects to refine ideas
  • Plan, track, and coordinate tasks for yourself and your team
  • Collaborate with verification, back-end implementation, performance, power analysis, and subsystem teams to ensure your design meets all the functional, area, power, performance and CSS-level integration requirements
  • Improve design methodology to adapt to evolving needs

Required Skills And Experience

  • Consistent track record of sophisticated micro-architecture and RTL design using System Verilog, Verilog, or VHDL
  • Ability to navigate high-level design trade-offs and articulate the rationale behind those decisions
  • Knowledge of ASIC (or FPGA) design methodology and IP signoff methods with a deep understanding of timing/area/complexity trade-offs for complex data-path designs
  • Experience with static design checks, synthesis, timing analysis, and power management techniques
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
