Senior SACT Nurse (Royal Tunbridge Wells)
Are you ready to embark on an exciting journey as a Senior SACT Nurse at our state-of-the-art cancer care centre located in Royal Tunbridge Wells? Join our dedicated team at GenesisCare UK and be part of something extraordinary.
GenesisCare is expanding its UK network with the opening of a brand-new Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy (SACT) centre in Royal Tunbridge Wells in Autumn 2026. This purpose-built centre will deliver chemotherapy, immunotherapy and cellular therapies, bringing advanced cancer treatment closer to patients across West Kent and the South East.
This is a rare opportunity to join the founding clinical team and help establish a new SACT service built on excellence, innovation and truly personalised care.
As a Senior SACT Nurse with us, you'll play a pivotal role in delivering specialist chemotherapy and systemic anti-cancer therapy nursing services within our new centre. You will manage a patient caseload, provide expert clinical care, deputise for the Lead SACT Nurse where required, and contribute to maintaining the highest standards of safety and evidence-based practice.

What You'll Do:
- Deliver safe, high-quality chemotherapy and systemic therapies in line with UKONS and GenesisCare standards
- Manage a complex patient caseload, ensuring holistic and evidence-based care
- Run nurse-led clinics and support diagnostic and treatment pathways
- Demonstrate advanced skills in intravenous access, central venous catheter management and chemotherapy delivery
- Recognise and manage oncological emergencies including neutropenic sepsis, anaphylaxis and extravasation
- Participate in the 24-hour on-call rota to provide out-of-hours triage and patient support
- Support clinical audit, service evaluation and research initiatives
- Mentor junior staff and contribute to education and competency development
- Maintain accurate and contemporaneous patient records in line with NMC standards
- Work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care

What You'll Have:
- NMC Registered Nurse
- UKONS SACT Passport (or completion within three months of appointment)
- Minimum 2 years’ post-registration nursing experience in oncology or related speciality
- Experience in intravenous chemotherapy administration
- Competence in venepuncture, cannulation and central venous access devices
- Experience in oncology telephone triage and recognition of neutropenic sepsis
- Strong organisational, communication and decision-making skills
- Knowledge of clinical governance, infection control and quality standards
- A commitment to professional development and evidence-based practice
