Senior Sales Account Executive (Banking & Financial Services)
We are looking for a commercially driven Senior Sales Account Executive (Banking and Financial Services) with strong experience in banking, fintech, financial media, data/intelligence platforms, or enterprise B2B sales. This is a hunter-farmer hybrid role focused on driving new business revenue while growing strategic existing accounts across banking and financial services markets globally. You will engage senior decision-makers across Tier 1 banks, challenger banks, fintech firms, and financial institutions, helping position the platform’s media, research, awards, sponsorship, subscription, and event offerings as valuable commercial and branding solutions. The ideal candidate understands the banking ecosystem, speaks confidently with senior stakeholders, and thrives in fast-paced, target-driven commercial environments.
RESPONSIBILITIES Drive new business acquisition across assigned territories and banking verticals. Build and manage a healthy commercial pipeline through outbound prospecting, referrals, industry events, and existing networks. Sell sponsorships, subscriptions, awards programs, data/intelligence products, and commercial partnerships. Engage MD-level and C-suite stakeholders across banks, fintechs, and technology providers. Lead commercial discussions, proposal development, negotiations, and contract closure. Grow and manage existing strategic accounts through upsell and cross-sell opportunities. Partner closely with editorial, marketing, research, and product teams on commercial positioning and market opportunities. Maintain accurate forecasting, CRM hygiene, and pipeline reporting. Represent the business at conferences, banking events, roundtables, and client meetings globally. REQUIREMENTS At least 5–8+ years of B2B sales, enterprise sales, sponsorship sales, or business development experience. Experience in one or more of the following sectors: Banking, Fintech, Financial media, Data/intelligence platforms, Banking technology, Conferences/events and SaaS/platform sales. Demonstrated success in new logo acquisition and revenue growth. Strong experience managing full sales cycles from prospecting through closure. Comfortable engaging senior banking stakeholders and commercial decision-makers. Existing network within banking, fintech, or financial services is highly preferred. Experience with financial media, awards, sponsorship, or conference sales is advantageous. Familiarity with CRM platforms and pipeline management. Highly self-directed and able to work across international markets and time zones.
