About the Role

Jewson Partnership Solutions (JPS) is a brand within Stark UK which specialises in providing solutions for our customers in the Public Sector predominately Housing Associations and Local Authorities and maintenance contractors. A new agreement has just been secured with one of our National Contractor partners which will incorporate a dedicated store located on a new site in Evesham. This involves providing and managing van stocks and a wide range of building reactive maintenance materials including plumbing, electrical and ironmongery.

We are looking to recruit a Senior Sales Advisor to work within a small team with focus on, stock management, product availability, monitoring van spares, arranging deliveries and overall delivering an excellent service to our client and their tradesmen.

A good knowledge of building materials is preferred; this could be from a roofing / plumbing / builder’s / trade merchant / DIY outlet background.

The role will involve:

  • Processing customer orders both over the phone
  • Picking items to fulfil customer orders ready for collection or delivery
  • Checking incoming stock deliveries and putting them away in the appropriate area
  • Supporting with maintaining stock levels and carrying out regular stock counts

The role involves regular manual handling and driving duties and therefore requires a full UK driving licence with entitlement to drive a 3.5-tonne van, along with the ability to carry out physical tasks safely.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Get to know our product lines and services in order to make the most of all customer interactions in line with our JPS values
  • Develop great relationships with colleagues and our client’s tradesmen, understanding their needs and providing proactive advice and solutions so that you can deliver the best experience possible
  • Use our in-house systems to process customer orders, organise delivery times, and keep customers updated throughout their journey
  • Keep the branch looking clean and tidy, to make a great first impression on our customers
  • Maintain stock levels, carrying out regular stock counts
  • Work with colleagues to suggest opportunities for improvement

Required Skills and Experience

  • Previous industry experience preferred but not essential
  • Experience in a customer facing environment
