Senior Sales Closer / Commercial Growth Lead — Green Orbit / SmartFitIQ

Senior Sales Closer / Commercial Growth Lead — Green Orbit / SmartFitIQ

Location: UK-based preferred. South Wales preferred. Remote / hybrid working available.

Engagement: Part-time or flexible senior commercial role

Remuneration: Initially equity-based. Indicative equity range 1.5%–3% for the right candidate, with the upper end reserved for an exceptional senior sales closer who can demonstrably convert interest into paid pilots and full commercial contracts. Equity would be subject to agreed milestones, vesting terms and formal contract. Salary and/or commission structure to be reviewed once funding, revenue or pilot income allows.

About the Role

Green Orbit is looking for a commercially strong Senior Sales Closer / Commercial Growth Lead to convert active interest in SmartFitIQ into paid pilots, strategic partnerships, and full commercial contracts.

This is not a support role. This is not a sales advisory role. We need someone who can:

  • Take qualified interest
  • Lead the commercial conversation
  • Close revenue-generating opportunities

The Opportunity

Green Orbit is developing SmartFitIQ, an AI-assisted fit and allocation platform for uniforms and PPE. The platform is being designed to help organisations:

  • Improve sizing accuracy
  • Reduce waste
  • Strengthen audit trails
  • Support employee wellbeing
  • Make PPE and uniform provision more inclusive

We are now looking for a senior commercial operator who can turn traction, conversations, and early-stage engagement into signed pilots and contracts.

Key Responsibilities

We are particularly interested in speaking with someone who can:

  • Own the sales process from qualified lead to signed pilot or contract
  • Close paid pilots with:
    • Councils
    • Public sector bodies
    • PPE providers
    • Uniform suppliers
    • Larger employers
  • Convert warm interest into structured commercial commitments
  • Lead senior sales conversations with:
    • Procurement
    • Sustainability
    • HR
    • Health and safety
    • Facilities
    • Operational decision-makers
  • Build, manage, and progress a live sales pipeline
  • Develop pilot pricing, commercial proposals, and contract pathways
  • Negotiate confidently and professionally
  • Identify buying signals and remove objections to move prospects to decision
  • Bring urgency, discipline, and commercial accountability into the business
  • Help Green Orbit move from validation into revenue

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for someone with:

  • Proven sales, business development, or commercial growth experience
  • Personal track record of closing deals, pilots, contracts, or strategic commercial partnerships

Ideal experience may include one or more of the following areas:

  • B2B sales
  • SaaS or technology platforms

  • PPE, uniforms, workwear, or facilities management
  • Sustainability / ESG solutions
  • Health and safety, workplace wellbeing, or operational efficiency
  • Procurement-led sales cycles

You do not need to have worked across every area, but you must be confident taking responsibility for commercial outcomes. This role is for someone who can close.

Startup Culture

Green Orbit is an early-stage business. This role suits someone who is:

  • Proactive
  • Resilient
  • Commercially driven

We need someone who can:

  • Operate without a large sales infrastructure
  • Think strategically
  • Act practically
  • Follow up consistently
  • Take ownership of results

This is not a standard salaried sales position from day one. It is for someone who sees potential in an early-stage platform and can help turn that potential into revenue.
