Senior Sales Director, Commercial Director (sports & ticketing)

Full time permanent position // London.

Need a veteran / expert Sales director with DEEP Sports and ticketing background, London based,

You will own and lead the European commercial operation. This person will be responsible for driving new business across major rights holders — federations, leagues, clubs, and promoters — while managing a senior, experienced, and opinionated sales team.

What We Are Looking For

Industry Knowledge & Conviction

  • Deep understanding of the ticketing ecosystem across sports and live entertainment.
  • Genuine conviction around giving rights holders control over their ticketing, data, and distribution — and the ability to articulate this compellingly to C-suite prospects.
  • Familiarity with secondary market dynamics and the strategic case for rights holder-controlled distribution.

Commercial Experience

  • Proven track record closing large and mid-size strategic B2B deals in sports, live events, or adjacent industries.
  • Experience navigating complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles (procurement, legal, technical, executive).
  • Solid grounding in the economics of sports rights, sponsorship, and live entertainment.
  • Comfortable operating across European and international markets, with sensitivity to cultural and commercial differences.

Sales Leadership & Process

  • Ability to lead, manage, and command respect from a senior, diverse, and strong-willed sales team.
  • Strong pipeline forecasting, CRM discipline, and structured sales process management.
  • Both a strategic thinker and a hands-on closer — comfortable at the whiteboard and at the negotiating table.
