The Role: Sales Engineer
You’ll be a tech-savvy advisor, working alongside customers across industries to design, deploy, and optimize high-performance storage solutions—enabling breakthroughs in:
- Real-time trading (financial services)
- Drug discovery (life sciences)
- Autonomous systems (defence/robotics)
As a hybrid of solution architect and trusted partner, you’ll translate complex requirements into scalable, resilient, and high-performing storage systems while guides clients from initial engagement to deployment.
What You’ll Do
1. Customer Engagement
- Collaborate with clients to decode key challenges:
- High-frequency trading
- Genomics & AI model training
- Autonomous vehicle intelligence
- Translate technical needs into tailored storage architectures
- Serve as a technical POC (Proof-of-Concept) and demo expert throughout the sales cycle
2. Solution Design
Design and propose enterprise-grade storage for:
- AI/ML training
- HPC simulations
- Data analytics
- GPU-accelerated workloads
- Multi-cloud environments

- Create detailed Bill of Materials (BoM), system blueprints, and RFP responses
- Engineers end-to-end architectures emphasizing performance, security, and data integrity
- Drive live demos, benchmarks, and performance validations for global deployments
3. Technical Integrations
- Seamless fit with modern AI stacks: Kubernetes, GPU clusters, cloud platforms, AI frameworks
- Optimize storage for emerging workloads like Graph LLM, real-time analytics, and federated learning
4. Innovation & Growth
- Stay ahead of AI/high-performance trends (e.g., storage-efficient neural nets, cold/hot data policies)
- Gather insights and collaborate with R&D/product teams to refine solutions
- Mentor colleagues and educate market stakeholders as a technical thought leader
- Influence roadmap strategy based on real-world challenges
What You Bring
Technical Foundation
- Deep understanding of storage architectures (SAN, NAS, object storage, parallel file systems)
- Knowledge of high-availability patterns (fault tolerance, workload isolation, data protection)
- Protocols expertise:
- Storage: S3, POSIX, NFS, SMB
- Networking: TCP/IP, InfiniBand, RDMA
- Curiosity-driven approach to mass-scale technologies: Lustre, GPFS, Exascaler
- Cross-functional communication: Explain complex requests to executives in layman’s terms
Experience Levels
🚀 Entry-Level Support (0–3 years)
- Education: BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, Computer Architecture, or equivalent experience
- Foundational knowledge of storage systems (visits, internships, side projects)
- Analytical mindset with enthusiasm for breaking down technical challenges
- Soft skills: Engaging with customers and technical teams
🔧 Experienced Contribution (3–5+ years)
- Field expertise: Pre-sales, solutions architecture, or technical consulting
- Portfolio of designs: Delivered scalable storage solutions (enterprise, healthcare, finance)
- Hands-on rigour:
- Lab testing, RFP doc prep, benchmark integrations
- Proven track record of complex deals in AI/HPC/TPC workloads
- Architectural mind during end-to-end sales cycles
