What You'll Do
Avalara is looking for a Senior Sales Executive to build new business growth across the EMEA region. This is a strategic role focused on acquiring mid-market and enterprise customers and expanding Avalara's footprint across a ever evolving tax and compliance landscape.
You will be an accomplished consultative seller. You will be comfortable engaging with the Office of the CFO and other C-suite leaders. They will position Avalara's multi-product tax compliance platform as a necessary enabler of digital transformation and global scale.
Beyond regional expertise, you will have global tax domain knowledge. This knowledge will include U.S. sales and user tax. Additionally, they will understand how emerging technologies like Agentic AI are transforming automation, accuracy, and decision-making in compliance management.
What Your Responsibilities Will Be
You will Drive net-new revenue growth by identifying, engaging, and closing new enterprise and mid-market clients across the EMEA region. You will Lead strategic sales engagements with C-level stakeholders, aligning Avalara's value proposition with their operational and growth priorities. Position and sell Avalara's multi-product suite, including eInvoicing, VAT, sales tax, cross-border compliance, and other automation solutions, as an integrated compliance platform. Demonstrate thought leadership on Agentic AI's role in compliance, helping clients understand how intelligent, autonomous systems can enhance tax accuracy, monitoring, and global scalability. Develop territory and account strategies aligned with Avalara's global growth goals and local market opportunities. Collaborate with marketing, alliances, and partner teams to drive localized campaigns, nurture the ERP (particularly SAP) and technology partner ecosystem, and accelerate pipeline growth. Provide market intelligence and customer feedback to influence Avalara's product innovation and go-to-market strategies. Maintain current knowledge of EMEA-region tax legislation and a working understanding of international indirect tax frameworks, particularly the U.S.

What You’ll Need To Be Successful
Experience with complex, consultative B2B sales within SaaS, ERP, FinTech, or tax technology. 5+ years of experience in new business development with consistent quota attainment. You will have experience selling to the Office of the CFO, with executive presence and storytelling skills Deep familiarity with ERP ecosystems, and how they integrate with compliance or finance solutions. You will have a solid grasp of indirect tax and compliance automation in the EMEA region, Stay up to date with industry trends (including US Tax). Awareness of or curiosity about Agentic AI, its business applications, and how AI-driven automation is reshaping compliance operations. Fluency in English required, second European language an advantage. Self-motivated, strategic thinker able to work independently and collaboratively in a global environment. Experience contributing to regional marketing and partner strategies is highly desirable This is a hybrid role and you will need to be commutable to the Brighton or London office.
