Are you an experienced technical sales professional looking for an opportunity where you can make a real impact and progress into senior management?
KHR are working with a long-established, specialist supplier within the specialist gases sector who are looking to recruit a Senior Sales Executive to join their growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong industry knowledge who enjoys developing new business, regularly visiting potential customers in the field, managing key customer relationships, and is ready to take on additional responsibility by mentoring a Junior Sales Executive, with a pathway into a management position.
Responsibilities of the Senior Sales Executive
- Proactively identifying and securing new business through customer visits, cold calling, and networking
- Visiting prospective and existing customers approximately three days per week to develop opportunities and strengthen relationships
- Mentoring and supporting a junior Sales Executive, sharing knowledge and encouraging development
- Providing technical sales advice and solutions to customers, ensuring products meet their operational requirements
- Preparing quotations, negotiating contracts and managing opportunities through to completion
- Working closely with the wider business to ensure excellent customer service and project delivery
- Maintaining accurate system records and sales activity reports
- Supporting the continued growth of the business with the opportunity to progress into a General Manager role

Senior Sales Executive Candidate Profile
- Previous experience within a technical sales role in specialist gases or a closely related technical industry is essential (happy to discuss specifics once you have applied)
- Full UK driving licence
- Experience mentoring, supporting or managing colleagues would be advantageous
- Strong technical understanding and the ability to confidently discuss products and advise potential customers
- Proven track record of winning new business and developing existing accounts
- Comfortable with outbound business development and cold calling
- Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills
- Self-motivated, commercially aware and able to work independently
