Hybrid: Herne Hill, 3 days in the office

Salary: Up to £32,000, depending on experience and company benefits.

Commission: circa £10,000 uncapped commission

Contract: Permanent, full-time

About the Role

Looking for a sales role where you can build strong client partnerships, work with recognised education brands and create campaigns with real impact?

At Mark Allen Group, we create specialist content, events, data and insight for professional communities across sectors that matter.

We’re looking for a Senior Sales Executive to join our education portfolio, working across two market-leading brands: Nursery World and Children & Young People Now.

This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded sales professional looking to build on their experience in a role with greater ownership, autonomy and client exposure.

You’ll work with organisations across the education and children’s services sector to create multi-platform campaigns spanning print, digital, content-led solutions and events. From podcast sponsorship and webinars to whitepapers and awards partnerships, you’ll be selling creative commercial opportunities that genuinely connect with professional audiences.

You’ll quickly see the impact of your work while developing your commercial confidence within a collaborative and ambitious media environment.

What You Will Do

  • Generate new business across Nursery World and Children & Young People Now, focusing on digital and content-led solutions including podcast sponsorship, webinars and whitepapers, alongside print, events and awards sponsorship.
  • Manage and grow existing client accounts, building strong long-term relationships.
  • Identify opportunities to create tailored advertising and sponsorship solutions that meet client objectives.
  • Build relationships with organisations across the education and children’s services sector, from smaller businesses to established industry brands.
  • Stay informed on market trends, competitor activity and emerging opportunities to support your sales approach.
  • Take ownership of achieving and exceeding revenue targets across your portfolio.
  • Work closely with editorial, marketing and production teams to deliver successful campaigns and commercial partnerships.
  • Contribute ideas for new opportunities, products and commercial growth across the portfolio.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
