The Sun Publishing team is undergoing an exciting commercial transformation. Our dynamic, multi-disciplinary team creates compelling, multi-platform advertising solutions that drive revenue and deliver impactful results for our clients.
Your Role
Champion The Sun in national cultural conversations, translating multi-platform opportunities into sophisticated commercial results for our strategic agency partners. You will drive daily commercial conversations across digital display, video, social, branded content, and print, tailoring transaction methods via direct and premium programmatic channels.
Day to day you will:
- Define and execute a strategic agency business plan focused on winning new digital and video revenue, transitioning traditional print clients to direct or premium programmatic channels.
- Leverage first-party data to pitch sophisticated but accessible digital advertising solutions.
- Cultivate influential partnerships with senior agency stakeholders across Digital, Programmatic, AV, and Publishing.
- Devise targeted sales strategies and mobilise internal teams to secure, manage, and deliver high-profile commercial partnerships and tenancies.
- Collaborate with delivery teams to ensure flawless campaign delivery, real-time optimization, and exceptional post-campaign analysis.
- Maintain accurate pipeline forecasting and Salesforce records while closely tracking competitor activity to identify new market opportunities.
What we're looking for from you
- A proven track record of revenue growth and success within a media sales environment.
- Deep understanding of agency structures, buying processes, and a robust senior contact base.
- Strong knowledge of digital and print media types, including display, branded content, social, video, programmatic, and operational delivery.
- A strategic mindset, demonstrated by the ability to interrogate briefs effectively and constructively challenge stakeholders to elicit deeper insights.
- Tenacity in sourcing potential clients and influencing buying decisions, alongside the ability to utilise media research and measurement systems (Pamco, IPSOS, TGI, AdIntel) confidently.
- Experience working within an evolving landscape, bringing an adaptable and proactive approach to exploring new commercial opportunities.
- Experience collaborating across different brands and personnel to deliver incremental revenue and achieve larger business objectives.
