About the Team

Joining Trustly is your opportunity to lead the next standard in European Account-to-Account payment. You will join a high-performing, established Sales team that has been pioneering the A2A revolution for over 15 years. Trustly has spent more than a decade perfecting the infrastructure of tomorrow.

About the Role

As Senior Sales Manager, you will lead Trustly’s expansion across the UK’s most influential sectors. You will navigate high-stakes negotiations with Tier-1 enterprises across Insurance, Telco, Travel, and E-commerce, managing a portfolio of strategic prospects with annual revenues exceeding £1B. Reporting to the VP Sales, you will:

  • Drive complex multi-stakeholder sales cycles
  • Help establish Trustly’s A2A technology as the benchmark for modern account-to-account payments
  • Deliver measurable business impact to some of the world’s most ambitious organisations

What You’ll Do

  • Drive market expansion by balancing long-term Enterprise bets with high-velocity Mid-Market revenue generation
  • Own your pipeline, taking responsibility for proactive hunting and lead generation
  • Leverage your network and ecosystem engagement to build a sustainable book of business
  • Structure the sales approach for the UK market
  • Guarantee the sales playbooks and processes that will serve as the blueprint for our local sales team expansion
  • Target and acquire high-value accounts, engaging with technical product managers to C-level executives
  • Lead cross-functional engagements with Product, Engineering, Legal, and Risk teams to translate complex technical integrations into high-volume live transactions
  • Provide critical market insights to our innovation and leadership teams ensuring Trustly remains the UK market leader
  • Represent Trustly as a Thought Leader at industry forums, establishing high visibility in the evolving UK payments and Open Banking ecosystem

Who You Are

You bring 7+ years of high-impact sales experience in Payments or Fintech. You don’t wait for inbound leads; you thrive on the "thrill of the chase" and have a proven track record of breaking into new, competitive accounts. You are:

  • A practitioner of modern enterprise sales frameworks (MEDDIC/MEDDPICC)
  • Disciplined, analytical, and proactive in qualifying (or disqualifying) deals early to maximize efficiency
  • An expert individual contributor with the aspiration to transition into a formal leadership role
  • Ambitions to eventually hire, build, and manage a high-performing sales team as we scale our UK footprint
  • Sharp bridging the gap between business requirements and technical feasibility
  • Comfortable discussing API documentation and building ROI-driven business cases, challenging the status quo
  • Equipped with the grit for long-game enterprise cycles and the agility needed for mid-market speed
  • Truly believes in: "Never win alone" – while targeting your own KPIs, take pride in mentoring peers and contributing to the collective growth of the UK team
  • Thriving in high-stakes environments, loves networking, and brings the energy to scale a market leader in a rapidly evolving sector
