About the Role
We are seeking an entrepreneurial and commercially driven Senior Sales Manager to lead the growth of our cashew business across the United Kingdom and the Middle East.
The role will focus on developing sales of raw and processed cashews, leveraging supply from India, Vietnam, and Ivory Coast, while building long-term partnerships with:
- Industrial users
- Food manufacturers
- Wholesalers
- Importers
- Distributors
- Retailers
Working closely with our international trading teams, the successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Developing profitable customer relationships
- Increasing market share
- Expanding our presence in key regional markets
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the commercial sales strategy for cashews across the UK and Middle East
- Grow sales volumes and profitability through new customer acquisition and expansion of existing accounts
- Manage relationships with the following stakeholder groups:
- Food manufacturers
- Snack producers
- Confectionery companies
- Bakery businesses
- Retailers
- Importers
- Distributors
- Promote a portfolio of cashew products, matching origin characteristics (from India, Vietnam, Ivory Coast) with customer requirements
- Work closely with traders to:
- Optimise origin selection
- Develop pricing strategies
- Align supply allocation
- Negotiate:
- Commercial agreements
- Pricing
- Payment terms
- Annual supply contracts
- Monitor market developments, including:
- Crop conditions
- Freight markets
- Currency movements
- Competitor activity
- Prepare sales forecasts, budgets, and pipeline reports
- Attend international trade fairs and customer meetings in the UK and Middle East
- Collaborate with Logistics, Operations, Finance, and Risk teams to ensure smooth execution of contracts
- Ensure compliance with:
- Food safety regulations
- Import requirements
- Company policies

Product Focus
The role will primarily cover the following cashew product categories:
- Raw Cashew Nuts (RCN)
- Cashew Kernels (WW180, WW210, WW240, WW320, WW450)
- Broken Grades
- Roasted and Processed Cashews
- Organic and Conventional Cashews
Requirements
Experience
- Minimum 5 years' commercial sales experience within:
- Edible nuts
- Dried fruits
- Food ingredients
- Agricultural commodities, or FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods)
- Strong knowledge of the international cashew market
- Proven experience selling into the UK and/or Middle Eastern food industry
- Existing customer network within:
- Food manufacturing
- Wholesale
- Retail
- Ingredient distribution
- Experience negotiating international commodity contracts
- Understanding of:
- Global agricultural supply chains
- Import/export logistics
- Experience working with multiple product origins is highly desirable

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in one of the following disciplines:
- Business
- International Trade
- Agriculture
- Food Science
- Economics
- A related discipline
- Additional commercial or trading qualifications are advantageous
Languages
- Fluent English (required)
- Arabic is highly desirable
- Additional European languages are an advantage
Travel
- Approximately 30–40% international travel, primarily:
- Across the UK
- GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council) countries
- Occasional visits to suppliers in:
- India
- Vietnam
- Ivory Coast
