AWS is hiring a Senior Sales Manager to lead and inspire high-performing teams across EMEA, win transformative deals, and redefine how the Energy & Utilities industry innovates with cloud and Agentic AI. As Senior Sales Manager, you will lead and develop a team of experienced account managers within AWS Energy and Utilities Industry Business Unit (E&U). You will own the go-to-market strategy and execution for (strategic) accounts, drive revenue growth, and set the vision for how AWS partners with energy leaders to reshape the industry. You will report to the EMEA Sales Director and collaborate closely with global stakeholders to deliver on bold growth ambitions. This role will be based in London with travel required to key customer sites and to the U.S.
Key job responsibilities
- Coach, mentor, and scale a team of senior sales professionals. Foster a culture anchored on customer obsession, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Partner with cross-functional teams (Business Development, Solutions Architecture, Partner Sales, Marketing, Customer Success) to solve customers’ most complex business and technical challenges.
- Identify transformational opportunities, de-risk execution, and replicate success through scalable plays and mechanisms.
- Use data and metrics to manage pipeline health, forecasting accuracy, and sales productivity.
- Build trusted C-level relationships, represent AWS at industry events, and evangelize our innovation across the Energy industry.

Basic Qualifications
- Experience hiring and developing sales management teams
- Experience in enterprise commercial sales
- Experience with, and detailed knowledge of the support market and insights related to cloud computing and IT
- Experience delivering results, setting strategy, and running a large volume and high profile business
- Experience leading and transforming highly effective organizations
- Experience with pipeline management skills to include utilization of Salesforce or other CRM tools
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in English, communications, technical writing, or a related field, or comparable job experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in business development including complex agreements with integrators and ISVs
- Experience in large complex deal negotiations with a successful track record
- Experience delivering results for large, cross-functional initiatives/projects
- Experience working with global and cross-functional teams across business development, marketing, operations, product development and legal
