The Opportunity: Senior Sales Manager AM (Northern Europe)
Location
- Office-based in any UK&I RES location
- Home-working option available
The Role
As our Senior Sales Manager AM, you’ll lead Northern Europe’s asset management (AM) sales strategy, working closely with regional leads and securing new business across onshore/offshore wind, solar, battery storage, and hydrogen. Your focus will be on AM services (including portfolio management, advisory, and data analytics) and cross-selling RES’s comprehensive service portfolio.
- Report to the Regional AM Head
- Support Sales Managers through coaching, peer reviews, and bid management
- Drive coordination across AMC services, procedures, and team efficiency
What You’ll Do
Organisational Context
- Provide senior oversight of Northern Europe’s sales team, ensuring priorities align with regional growth targets.
- Work closely with Regional AM Head and AM Sales Support to implement account management strategies.
- Collaborate with a broad landscape of partners, including:
- Regional AM/technical/commercial headsof departments and business leads (finance, procurement).
- Sales Marketing team; contract buyers; and **subject matter **experts (O&M, Digital Solutions, Engineering, Finance, Insurance).
- Customers, leads, and external contractors across Northern Europe.

Core Accountabilities
Sales Strategy & Bid Management
- Coordinate regional sales growth with the Regional AM Head, refining the long-term strategy and progress-hacking it against targets.
- Guide Sales Managers in planning and tracking sales activity vs. targets.
- Nurture client relationships by designing proactive pitches and identifying opportunities to bid.
- Drive cost models and profitability for all AM services offered.
Bid Execution & Quality Assurance
- Manage the lifecycle of every opportunity: from initial inquiry, through bid preparation, and to contract negotiations/signing.
- Develop and enforce bid processes, ensuring consistency and cost-efficient operations.
- Lead peer reviews of future bids, escalating only to the Regional AM Head for formal review.
- Report on regional sales KPIs and TEAM performance.
Continuous Improvement
- Document and track data (opportunities, contracts, customer interactions) in Salesforce.
- Identify cross-sell opportunities for RES Services – including OP&M, Digital Solutions.
- Promote feedback-based strategy refinement, using internal projects, customer reviews and market trends.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Lead key meetings, presentations (technical, commercial, financial) for both internal and external stakeholders.
- Represent RES credibly, building credibility through clutch partnerships and thought leadership.
Travel Requirements
- Regular out-and-about in the region to lead proposals and represent RES.
- International travel requirements occasional.

✅ Sales & Marketing Planament – B2B intreatment strategic documentation through sales cycles. ✅ Renewable Energy AM Landscape – Noicals including who the competitors and comparative are. ✅ Sales Methods – Proven approaches to securing AM contracts and generating cross-sales. ✅ Key Account Principles – Chronic stay updated with relationships, expectations, and deliverability. ✅ Contractual Terms – In-depth knowledge and experience with AM-dedicated contracts.

Skills & Strengths
- Clear, persuasive communication: Needs to inspire internal teams while communicating RES’ value proposition in a demystifying and engaging way.
- Financial acumen: Talented at developing AM cost models, budgeting, and profitability analysis. Assess service economics for long-term contracts.
- Detail-driven: Review bids critically, addressing gaps before submission.
- Analytical approach: Apply research-driven insights when tackling market challenges.
- Agile Organisation – Juggle multiple proposals and response needed prior deadlines.
- Tech-proficient: Fluent in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint), and CRM, ideally Salesforce.
Experience:
- Experience within B2B strategy & sales selling engineering, support, AM, or energy sector services.
- Tender bidding: Business/technical concept-level drafting, approvals mapping, and client interactions.
- Established career path in the renewable energy field. Presently — affiliates of wind/solar/battery/hydroegn electricity.
Credentials:
- Preferred: Degree-grade qualification in business, engineering, finance, or project management.
- Exceptional candidates without formal education but with a proven commercial track record in qualifying sales perspectives.
