This full-time Senior Sales Manager AM (Northern Europe) role can be based in any of our UK&I offices or as a home worker.
About the Role
The Senior Sales Manager AM – Northern Europe will support the Asset Management (AM) Sales team in securing new business opportunities across Northern Europe (NE). This includes utilising:
- Key technologies: Onshore and offshore wind, solar, battery storage, and hydrogen
- Specialist services: Asset Management, Portfolio Management, Advisory, Data & Analytics, and 24/7/365 Control Room services
- Cross-selling opportunities for additional RES Services (e.g., O&M – Operations & Maintenance, Digital Solutions) relevant to client needs.
You'll provide senior sales leadership across Northern Europe, collaborating with Sales Managers, regional leads, and other stakeholders. The role operates under the direction of the Regional AM Head.
Key Responsibilities
Organisational Oversight
- Provide senior oversight of the Northern Europe Sales Manager group, ensuring:
- Focus on priority opportunities
- Effective use of sales resources
- Work closely with:
- Regional AM Head
- AM Sales Support team
- Implement regional AM sales & account management strategy, contributing to international strategies for winning AM contracts.

- Collaborate with:
- Sales Managers & other AM sales colleagues across RES regions.
- Regional Asset Management leads / Managers, commercial, financial, and procurement teams.
- Existing customers, key accounts, and new/target clients, external contractors, RES Services Marketing.
- Operating functions (e.g., O&M, Digital Solutions) & RES Group (e.g., Engineering, Finance, Insurance, Legal).
Core Accountabilities
As a Senior Sales Manager, your core responsibilities include:

Supporting the Regional AM Head to:
- Execute regional sales growth plans/strategies (development & refinement).
- Align Sales Managers with agreed regional targets.

Foregrounding client engagement:
- Developing and maintaining new & existing client relationships.
- Preparing/deploying presentations and identifying cross-selling opportunities.

Contributing to:
- Service development & cost/profitability modelling for deliverables.

Overseeing the global AM sales pipeline from initial enquiry through to contract signature, including:
- Bid preparation and negotiation.
- PRC (Procurement Request Confirmation) / business approval process control.
- Quality assurance for bids/tenders before submission (peer review, escalation).

Reporting on regional sales KPIs, collaborating with the Regional AM Head for insights and performance feedback.

Monitoring project data, customer interactions, and CRM-related tracking (via SalesForce).

Delivering cross-selling opportunities and driving a culture of continuous improvement using customer feedback.

Additional Duties:
- Travel within Northern Europe and occasionally internationally.
- Attend key/relevant conferences to enhance market visibility.
Key Competencies – What You’ll Need
Knowledge Base
- Sales & Marketing Plans (B2B service-focused execution);
- Expertise in wind/solar/storage AM sectors, including competitors/contractors;
- Understanding of sales processes for renewable energy service contracts in B2B;
- Knowledge of key account management principles;
- Familiarity with contractual terms specific to Asset Management.

- Leadership & Communication:
- Exceptional in leading cross-functional teams (faxial presentations + written proposals).
- Credible representation of RES’s services via face-to-face engagements & written proposals.

- Strong cost-modeling skills for long-term AM contracts.
- Analytical focus.
- Quality Assurance:
- Focus on detailed bid/tender review (evaluation + standardization of working practices).
- Strategic, Research & Organisational Capabilities:
- Coherent strategic planning.
- Research-intensive, able to interpret volatile markets and time-sensitive tender scenarios.
- Efficient multitasker managing parallel priorities.
- Systems Proficiency:
- Microsoft 365 (Word/Excel/PowerPoint/SharePoint) and Salesforce CRMs.
Experience & Qualifications

Industry Experience preferred in:
- B2B sales/resources marketing.
- Participation in the wind/solar/storage renewable sectors (services & commercial).
- Drafting, reviewing, and evaluating tender proposals.

Education & Qualifications:
- Degree or equivalent (business, engineering, management) preferred; however, proven sales expertise can meet eligibility.
