The Role
As Senior Sales Manager for Asset Management (AM) – Northern Europe, you’ll lead a high-impact role within our Asset Management (AM) Sales team. Your responsibilities include:
- Securing new business opportunities across Northern Europe, covering RES’s key technologies: onshore/offshore wind, solar, battery storage, and hydrogen.
- Enabling enterprise-wide engagement with regional AM leads (technical, commercial, financial, etc.) to drive revenue growth.
- Covering all AM services:
- Portfolio Management
- Advisory Services
- Data & Analytics
- 24/7/365 Control Room support
- Ancillary O&M and Digital Solutions
- Cross-selling opportunities across Renewable Energy Services (RES) offerings, including O&M and Digital Solutions.
You’ll provide senior sales leadership—coaching Sales Managers, overseeing bid discipline, and aligning with regional and international AM strategies.

You’ll ensure: ✔ Focused business prioritisation in Northern Europe ✔ Alignment with regional (and transatlantic) sales strategies ✔ Modernised bids and KPI reporting ✔ Effective CRM tracking
Accountabilities
Core Focus Areas
You’ll partner with the Regional AM Head to:
- Execute the regional AM sales growth strategy, contributing to its updates.
- Plan and supervise sales activities to meet revenue targets.
- Build and manage relationships, including preparing/livestreaming client-facing presentations.
- Develop AM services—cost models and profitability frameworks.
- Collaborate with AM Global Sales Support for end-to-end opportunity oversight: from lead detail through to contract win and handover.
- Strengthen AM bid processes, maximising efficiency, standardisation, and cost-effectiveness.
- Review asset management-specific tenders and ensure submissions meet quality standards before escalation.
- Monitor KPIs (consulting with Northern Europe’s AM Head).
- Maintain adherence to internal approvals.
- Track opportunities, interactions, and data in Salesforce.
- Cross-sell RES services as opportunities emerge.
Uplift Contributions
- Travel (regional/international preference) to nurture relationships
- Attendance at market conferences to enhance RES’s visibility

- Sales and marketing strategies within B2B environments
- Renewable energy (AM) customer portfolios, competitors, and contractors
- B2B sales processes specific to renewable energy services
- Key Account Management (KAM) best practices
- Asset Management and contractual terms

Skills
Ideal candidates will blend consultative expertise with execution ability:
- Leadership: Drive cross-functional teams for bid execution, and convincingly represent RES in client discussions.
- Numerical Fluency: Cost modelling and financial evaluation for long-term AM contracting.
- Analytical Rigour: Assess AM bids (elevating critiques to Regional AM Head) with meticulous attention.
- Resilience Under Pressure: Tackling multiple complex, simultaneous tenders against tight timelines.
- Tech Proficiency: Mastery of Microsoft 365 and Salesforce (with CRM focus).
Experience
Proven track record in:
- B2B sales for professional services in renewable energy: wind, solar, storage
- Tender preparation, review, and analysis
- Corporate relationships and contract negotiations
Qualifications
While a degree in business, engineering or related disciplines is desirable, experience trumps formal credentials. A strong sales career notable for growth and commercial success supersedes conventional marks.
